Live Music
Duckmaloi Allstars
Hailing from Duckmaloi on the Central West Slopes & Plains, the Duckmaloi Allstars bring their mix of Bluegrass, Old Time & Folk music to the Hero of Waterloo.
Great vocals with a mix of Guitar, Banjo, Mandolin and sometimes Fiddle ignite the hillbilly in all!
The Allstars are international touring musicians playing the music they love.
Green Jam
Green Jam’s repertoire ranges from rousing Celtic foot stampers to popular rock and pop tunes. GreenJam had their origins in the Hero of Waterloo and have been playing raucous Irish “sessions” for more than a decade.
From their acoustic roots they have created a distinctive style with strong vocals and punchy sound. The warmth, personality and sense of humour of the “Jammies” is ever present and they live by the credo “Music is a verb”.
Their reputation for creating an infectious atmosphere is legendary and crowd participation is encouraged.
Expect to see guest appearances by lots of local talent and even an occasional international star who pops in for 15 minutes of fame. It’s become almost fashionable to Jam with the Jammies at the Hero of Waterloo!
Mental Elf
Mental Elf (a.k.a Mark and Dave) are a dynamic guitar and fiddle duo. Dave has a unique and versatile voice and is very handy with the guitar whilst Mark shreds the fiddle whipping punters into a frenzy. Both Dave and Mark are seasoned players playing in a variety of arenas around the world. They bring to the Hero an eclectic mix of Irish folk crossed with funk and reggae through to blues and popular songs.
Their infectious sound lights up Friday nights at the Hero leaving punters thoroughly satisfied.
